Intro to the Green

Tennyson High School is going green! My blog is about changing our school to make it a better and clean place. The purpose of this blog is to let everyone know and to maybe get involved with recycling and not only making our school clean but cleaning the world up. Here at Tennyson High School I'm not going to lie but it's a disaster. Trash and bottles everywhere. Although we have trash cans everywhere around the school nobody uses them it's like the ground of the school is the trash can. But hopefully by the end of this year things will change and look better.
SLWRP, service learning waste reduction program, is a program where everyone learns to recycle and learns what should and shouldn't be recycled together. It also gets you use to recycling your trash at home.
The 4 R's are; reduce, reuse, recycle, and rot.
Reduce: try not to use a lot of things you might throw away
Reuse: you can still use the things you used before
Recycle: throw trash away in bins that they're suppose to be in
Rot: Compose
I think Tennyson students should really get involved because everyone will understand that we need to make our school look better so we don't get looked down on anymore so we could get a little bit more respect.
